There exists a similarly named website, without the .au on the end! Around 15 years ago, each of us - the CricketWorlds in Australia and England, were setup and named independently. Neither of us wants to change names, each claiming to be 'first'! The cricketworld.com people in England have a site similar to cricinfo's, with match scores, programmes, some statistics, articles, and lots of advertising. There is much of interest to be found on their excellent site. We, as cricketworld.com.au are a small business developing cricket software. Our website, as you will see, is very simple, and exists really just to make the world aware of our CSW software. Nevertheless, with more than 1,400 statistical lists available through the demonstration England v Australia, The Oval, 1938 there is plenty to check on this site - but still only a tiny fraction of the offerings of CSW. We supply data to cricinfo, Fox sports, Sky NZ, and do the statistics for the ABC Cricket Book. We are to provide statistics and programming for the International Cricketing Hall of Fame. TV and radio commentators, and print media journalists use the databases. CSW is used by the England Test management, and a range of Counties and State cricketing bodies. It is available to the general public. All you have to do, for information, or to order your copy, is to contact David Fitzgerald at dhfitz@cricketworld.com.au |
