There exists a similarly named website, without the .au on the end! Around 15 years ago, each of us - the CricketWorlds in Australia and England, were setup and named independently. Neither of us wants to change names, each claiming to be 'first'! The cricketworld.com people in England have a site similar to cricinfo's, with match scores, programmes, some statistics, articles, and lots of advertising. There is much of interest to be found on their excellent site. We, as cricketworld.com.au are a small software development company, and with statistics partner Tastats.com.au, we produce the world's best cricket databases. Our website, as you will see, is very simple, and exists really just to make the world aware of our CSW software. But, with more than 1,400 screen pages available through the example Victoria v Tasmania at the MCG, 28th February 2010 there is plenty to check on this site - but still only a tiny fraction of the offerings of CSW. We supply data to cricinfo, Fox sports, Sky NZ, and provide statistics for the ABC Cricket Book. We will prepare statistics for the International Cricketing Hall of Fame. TV and radio commentators, and print media journalists use the databases. CSW is used by the England Test management, and a range of Counties and Australian State cricketing bodies. |
